This year we would like to make our activities bigger and better!

The club POLES, in the south of France was part in World Orienteering Week last year and organised an event, but this year they would like to make their activities bigger and better!

Last year they created activities for children from local schools.

It was quite simple – they had a 5 x 5 grid with contols at each intersection and maps that marked routes through the controls.

They also created a circuit where each checkpoint had a letter and the children had to visit them in the right order to spell the names of different animals.

Club member Mark Whiting was inspired by the WOW Webinar “9 events in one WOW week” by the presentation about organising an event for seniors. The club have a very big senior population in the region so he think it would be great to find a way to create an event for them, perhaps even in a senior residence.
