Indias journey with orienteering began in mid-2023 with a single club based out of New Delhi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past year, that one club has grown into a network of 10 city clubs across India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gaurav Singh, President of Orienteering Sport Federation India says – “Our activities currently include regular training camps for children, young athletes, and beginners, as well as family-oriented orienteering events designed to make the sport accessible and enjoyable for all age groups. These initiatives have helped introduce many new participants to orienteering and have created a small but enthusiastic community in India.<\/em>“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He continues- “World Orienteering Week has been extremely instrumental in spreading awareness about the sport and inspiring new participants worldwide.
