WOW Ambassador Thomas Radon, within the Austria Orienteering Federation, is is the driving force behind the efforts in school sport and mass sport orienteering within Austria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has been an orienteer since he was a little boy, and it\u2019s a pleasure for him to contribute to our sport!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Austria Orienteering Federation started a new school project, but I think it might not be the big different for WOW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, they began promoting WOW through the Federation\u2019s office, sending all members WOW information, from the downloads to the webinars, we publish them also in our Event Calendar and assisting them with registering their events on WOW website. For every event we saw in our calendar, we reached out to ensure they registered it as an WOW.
We emphasize that every event, big or small, whether hosted by a club or a federation, can be part of WOW, and we want to show the world that Austria is an active and important part of the orienteering community!<\/p>\n\n\n

Thomas says, “It\u2019s amazing to see how many people participate in orienteering during this one week, and we\u2019re excited to be part of it!
But we\u2019re still working year-round, so you\u2019re only seeing 1\/52 of what we do \ud83d\ude0a (I imagine it\u2019s the same worldwide!).
For us, it\u2019s important to see how many countries are involved, and for other countries to be able to see our work here in Austria.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n
