I would love to give you more information regarding our work to spread the game of Orienteering in India.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gaurav Singh, the President of Dhyan Chand Foundation, a non-profit Foundation, works for children and sports and to devise\u00a0ways and means to integrate the development of a child through sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Singh came across Orienteering whilst searching for sports that do not require extensive infrastructure. He learned more and more about the sport and established contact with IOF Global Development member Jaroslav Kacmarcik. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Kacmarcik and Ms. Giulia Zenere, from Park World Tour (PWT) have then helped orienteering to grow in India. From a single club, The New Delhi Orienteering Club, that was started in New Delhi in June 2023, two more clubs have been established in India. Four orienteering events have been organised in India so far.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

One reason why Gaurav Singh have preregistered\u00a0for the World Orienteering Week are that he wants the orienteering nations to know that India is ready and open for orienteering. Gaurav wants it to increase the competitive, organisation and help expand the sport of Orienteering in any way possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this year they will invite members of all our 3 clubs to New Delhi and also invite the general public to participate in an Orienteering event on the 19th, Sunday 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
